How do I know if therapy is going to work?

Our practice is unique in that we focus primarily on using "evidence-based" therapies. These are approaches to therapy that have been validated by scientific research. Although we cannot guarantee your results, we promise to offer you the best possible treatment options given your particular goals and to work as hard as you are willing to work to help you achieve them.

How long does therapy usually last?

We ask that clients plan to attend for at least 6-8 weeks, attending weekly. After this point, you will reassess your progress with your therapist.

How do I book a consult call with a therapist?

First, you will connect with our client coordinator, Brazil, who will connect you with a therapist based on your needs. You can contact us by calling or booking a consult directly through our contact page.

What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer several types of therapy to our clients. Our main focus is treating trauma using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Somatic Experiencing (SE), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and more.

Do you take insurance?

No. However, we do provide super-bills, and if you have a PPO or related plan, you may be eligible for at least partial reimbursement.

How do I schedule an appointment?

You can call us directly and get in touch with our client coordinator, or fill out our contact form on our website and get a response in less than 24 hours.

Can you see people who don’t live in San Francisco?

Yes, only if they reside in the state of our practice, California. Due to licensure, we cannot see clients out of state.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

Yes, at our Noe Valley office in the city of San Francisco.

Can I choose whether I want online or in-person therapy?

Yes! Our mental health professionals offer both in-person and online therapy. Our office is located in Noe Valley.

How long is a typical therapy session?

A typical session with one of our therapists is 45 minutes. However, longer therapy sessions can be arranged and are often encouraged for therapies like EMDR.

Can you write a prescription?

No. You would need to see a licensed psychiatrist in order to get a prescription for psychotropic medication.
